KNEC Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM)

The Diploma in Human Resource Management is a business-oriented TVET program examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
It equips learners with the skills and knowledge needed to manage people in organizations, including recruitment, training, performance management, labor relations, and employee welfare.

It prepares students for HR roles in companies, NGOs, government ministries, parastatals, and private organizations.

Purpose / Objectives of the Course

The program aims to train HR professionals who can:

  • Manage employee recruitment, selection, and placement

  • Develop and implement HR policies

  • Handle employee relations, discipline, and labor laws

  • Coordinate staff training and development

  • Manage payroll, compensation & benefits

  • Maintain HR records and staff performance systems

  • Support organizational development and culture

  • Communicate effectively with employees and management

Course Duration:

    • Industrial Attachment Report (Project)

    • HR Policy Formulation

    • International HRM

    • Occupational Safety & Health (OSH)

    • KCSE certificate with a minimum mean grade (often C- or equivalent).
    • Alternatively, relevant work experience or other qualifications may be considered.
