National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) in Kenya. NITA is a government agency under the Ministry of Labour that is responsible for overseeing industrial training in the country. It Develops and regulates industrial training programs, administers trade tests and certification for various technical and vocational skills, Registers and accredits training institutions and trainers, Promotes quality and relevance of training to industry needs. it offers Trade Test Examinations which are practical and theoretical tests used to assess competencies in various trades. Candidates who pass the exams are awarded a Trade Test Certificate, which is recognized by employers in Kenya and some East African countries.
